Ten and a half years ago my family and I embarked on a journey that has transcended across three generations. Before I was even thought of, my grandfather, Walter Freeman, dreamed about becoming a Country Music singer, and he passed his dream down to my father, Ed Freeman. My father passed the dream down to me, and I have been dreaming ever since. Today I was told that I won the Best New Nashville contest sponsored by Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. I am the Best New Nashville Winner, and man does it feel good. But- I did not win this contest on my own; it took a lot of people that have dared to dream with me. My fans, friends, and family all voted for me multiple times and helped me take a big step in right direction toward making my family’s dream a reality. From the bottom of my heart I can’t thank you all enough. When I first went to Nashville it seemed like it was going to be impossible to fulfill my family dream, but I never gave up, even when I wanted to. With every NO, I kept pushing and believing that one day I would be able to live my dream. Today with your help, I truly believe that my dream will no longer be a dream- it will be my reality! I just want to tell everyone that we are on a historical journey, and I am so honored that all of you have supported me throughout my career. I know we have had a lot of ups and downs, but no one ever said plowing was easy. I said it once and I will say it again, this might be our year. Thank you again for your support and prayers-WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Wise Woman Deux
The other day, I saw a woman whom happened to be having coffee at a local coffee shop. The woman’s face was worn with years, but her eyes were crystal blue. There was an article in the paper about yours truly, and the woman recognized my photo from the newspaper she was reading. She stopped me and commented about some of the details of my life. I thanked the woman and we exchanged small talk, I think she could tell I was in a bit of a hurry, because before I left she told me to treasure the little moments, because when their gone, their gone.
I smiled with a nod, then I was on my way, but her words stayed with me all that day because she was right! We are only given a short time to: live, love, and smile. I think our human existence is only a blink in time, filled with the experiences that shape and mold the foundation for which we build self actualization. Sometimes we get so caught up with ends and the means that we forget about the why and the who! Why are we so busy that we can’t even sit back and enjoy a great cup of coffee with a new friend? Why is finding the means to an end more important than who will benefit/suffer in the end. Sometimes the most insignificant acquaintance or occurrence can become a defining moment, and you don’t realize it until the moment has passed.
I hate to use a cliché here but- we need to sometimes stop and smell the roses a little bit.
Cherish that innocent smile and sound of glee that comes from your baby’s first laugh. Listen to the sound of your true love’s heart beat, and see if it matches yours. Have dinner with your parents, grandparents, and old friends more than just once a year. Live life more, love harder, and smile a lot:)

Well, voting is over and I wanted to let all of my Fans, Friends, and Family know just how much I appreciate you. I want to thank you for all of your support, I know voting everyday, multiple times a day, was a commitment on your part-but it is that type of tenacity that will help me get to the top. I need all of you to be rabid pit bulls when it comes down to supporting me-lol. Hopefully, our combined efforts have put me on the top of the list-but we will have to wait to see what the finally outcome will be!
On another note-I am almost finished writing new songs to share with you. I will be hitting the studio in July; as free as a bird to create the music and sing the songs my fans want to hear. I tell you, when you just let go and allow yourself to be guided by your heart- failure does not exist! The last couple of years in my career have been trying- but I know God did not bring this far to abandon me. You-my Family, Friends, and Fans have walked this unpaved road with me, and our time is coming soon!

Your Free Bird-Adrianna
Man did I have a great time performing at the Cracker Barrel in Albany, Georgia. last night. You talk about group of great folks: they were about as genuinely nice as you could get!!!! The Fans and Employees were very interested in the Best New Nashville Project, and elated that Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores had teamed up with Teddy Gentry to allow unsigned artists to be heard! Let me just run down some of the highlights:
I think the best part about this show, personally for me- was the fact that a lot of African American fans showed up. They were so happy to see that a little black girl from the sticks could be a Country Music Singer. They were also happy to know that I am supported by Teddy Gentry, a legend in Country Music and given a chance to be heard by a great company like Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores! Proving again, that Country Music isn’t about one particular creed or color, it’s for everyone- because it comes from the heart of the human experience. So if you haven’t picked a copy of Teddy Gentry’s Best New Nashville, get to your local Cracker Barrel and pick up a couple!
Oh, and tell them Adrianna sent you-lol!
Had a very positive meeting today with people whom happen to share my vision. For a long time I spent a lot of my creative juices trying to figure out what people wanted from me or expected from me as an artist, and it was so nice to finally speak with people that get what I am trying to do. I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately; I guess you can say I’ve been inspired! I can’t wait to share my new music with the world. A very wise woman told me that when I finally get to the point of being fed-up, I would get exactly what I wanted because I would be free to create the music I wanted to create! Maybe this will be our Year
I woke up this morning believing again. Now believing in what you might ask? Believing in myself, not expecting anything to completely go my way, but believing that I can change things for the better. Sometimes an artist can be their own worst enemy, but in that, an artist can find out just who they really are! A lot of times we as artists look for acceptance from the industry; but we forget that it’s the FANS that make us. Fans, it’s not enough that I believe- I need you to believe in me as well! If you are an Adrianna Freeman fan, I need you to help me sound off; go to Bestnewnashville.comand vote for me!!!!!

Today a fan asked me how would I describe my stage show/presence. The fan went on to ask me, “Do you just stand there and sing like a deer in head lights or do you really interact with the audience.” I chuckled to myself a little- my fans, they are the best in world!!!!! I am so glad my fans are willing to ask me the hard, but oh so real questions. So my reply was this: When you come to an Adrianna Freeman show you are a part of the show. I have a portion of my show where I do question and answer sessions, so my fans can ask me anything they want! There is also a “you sing and I watch” segment, but a lot of fans don’t really want to sing, so I have to walk around and drag them up on stage with me-lol. I don’t really approach a show the same way every time because everywhere you go the audience will be a little different. I listen to what my fans want and I try to deliver that. Money is tight these days and when I have fans that are willing to pay to see me, I am more than willing to listen to what they want from me as an artist!
